There’s no doubt that a bit of Yoga followed by some good grub is a pretty decent way to start your weekend and you can do both under one roof in Little Bird on South Circular Road. This Neighbourhood cafe lies in the midst of the red bricked terraces up near the junction of Leonards corner and has seating both outside and in. The pic above is an old one from the facebook page but rest assured there is more outside seating now and it will be a great spot for lunch come Spring/Summer proper.

The food here feels like it has being lovingly cooked up by health conscious Yoga enthusiasts and is all the better for it. We tried out the Slow Roasted Pork And Fried Egg, with fennel pickle, chilli sauce and garlic yoghurt served on toasted sourdough with green salad € 11 along with the brunch special of the day with Kale and Eggs . Then for our second drop in we tried the Eggs Florentine, with wilted spinach and hollandaise sauce with green salad €10 and The French Toast, with caremelised banana, maple syrup and toasted almonds € 8 50.
Theres not a huge amount of seating inside but there’s a nice buzz in the place and we’ve occasionally shared a table with strangers and sparked up a bit of chat which, coupled with yoga and good food is another thing that can be good for the ol soul.
